Coaches

Craig Letourneau, Owner and Director

​

Craig is currently the head women's volleyball coach at Wheaton College. The 2023 season marked his 13th year at Wheaton. The program has seen its best 4 finishes in conference history (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019) under the tutelage of Coach Letourneau. This past season the team had a 14-14 overall record and ranked top 7 in New England.

 

Previous to Wheaton, Coach Letourneau led Emerson College to its best 4 year run in the program's history, culminated by a 30-win season and conference championship (13-0 conference record).  He also started the Men's volleyball program at Emerson and in its 2nd, season led them to the GNAC playoffs. He started his college career at Rhode Island College where he took the program to its first ever Little East Conference championship game. As a high school coach previous to that Craig led 3 programs to State championship games, winning two of those state championships.

 

He spent a decade coaching high school girls' and boys' basketball, Women's College basketball and high school boys' volleyball.

Lok-Tin Yao, Head Coach 

​

Lok-Tin Yao enters his 6th season as Lockdown VBC coach. Last season he led the 18s team, placing top 7 in 4 out of 5 tournaments.  He currently will be entering his 5th season as the Girls and Boys coach at Latin Academy. 

​

This is Coach Yao's 12th year of club volleyball coaching.  He has previously coached at Mass Premier, Pioneer Valley, and Andover Pumas. Primarily coaching the local club teams, he had two teams that finished in the Bronze Open level for U-18.

​

Yao began his collegiate coaching career under current tenth-year Wheaton head coach Craig Letourneau at Emerson College in 2010. He assisted with the overall coaching, supervision, recruiting process, and organization of the Emerson program. During his tenure, he saw three student-athletes garner conference player of the week honors and another receiver rookie of the week accolades.  In 2011-12, Yao was the head coach of  Mens' Volleyball program at Lesley University. He is currently an assistant Coach at Wheaton College, where his role is mainly recruiting, video and on court technical skill development.

Coach Yao has a  Masters  degree in Physical Education from Springfield College. A 2008 graduate of Mount Ida with a bachelor of science in sports management, Yao was a Dean’s List student and also received the President’s Merit Scholarship. He was a two-year student-athlete for the Mustangs. He played his high school ball at Boston Latin Academy.

Jimmy Oliveira, Head Coach


Jimmy is currently the head girls’ volleyball coach at Old Rochester Regional High School. He is entering his seventh year as the head coach for ORR and the program has qualified for the MIAA State Tournament in each year (13-9, 14-8, 15-5, 15-0). ORR was ranked #1 of D2 programs in Massachusetts for 2022 with an undefeated season.  He has coached several athletes were named to the Standard Times Super Team and All-Star Team and this past season had a player named MVP of the conference and 2 named to the D2 all-state team.

Before becoming the head coach at ORR, Jimmy had previously coached the JV girls’ team for an additional four years. During this time, he also coached the JV boys’ program at New Bedford High School. Coach Oliviera began his volleyball career by playing four years for New Bedford High School where he was an Outside Hitter and Libero. Achievements as a student-athlete include reaching the South Finals twice and set school records for digs in a match and digs in a single game.

 

Jimmy coaches our 15 Elite Team and we are excited about his leadership with this talented group. Prior to coaching at Lockdown, Jimmy has coached at Max Performance Volleyball Club. He has experience coaching the 15’s, 16’s, and 18’s age groups, and also coached at the MPVC Beach program. Aside from coaching club, Jimmy has traveled to Kansas City, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, and Raleigh to attend coaching clinics such as the AVCA and Gold Medal Squared. In 2018, Jimmy started Seaside Volleyball Academy which focuses on skill specific training, camps, and clinics.

Abigail Soutter, Head Coach

Abigail enters her 4th season at Lockdown VBC. Last season Abby coached 14 National Team assistance from mom. This season she is coaching 15 National Team and 17-2 Elite Team. Abby comes to us from Ohio, where she has had five years of experience coaching and training volleyball players. Abby is a former coach of 12U National Team out of Ohio Premier Volleyball Club. In her four years there, she coached her club teams to many victories on and off the court, finishing in gold at most tournaments. Abby has coached volleyball at all levels from regional to national. Abby is coaching her first year as Assistant Coach for Wheaton College Women's Volleyball team. Previously she coached one year as the JV Coach for ORR Girls Volleyball this year. 

Sandra Soutter, Head Coach

​

Sandra enters her 4th season at Lockdown VBC. Sandra is head coach for the 12's team and 13 Elite Team. Sandra comes to us from Ohio, where she has had 14 years of experience coaching volleyball from recreational, CYO, Academy, clinics, private lessons and club volleyball from regional to national level teams. Sandra is a former coach for Lone Star VBC, Rally VBA, PC VBC, Cincy East VBC and Ohio Premier VBC. Her passion is working with the young players to develop their skills and ensure they find a love for the game. 

Colleen Moore, Head Coach

​

Colleen enters her 2nd season at Lockdown VBC. Colleen comes to us with years of experience coaching and playing volleyball. She has in previous years been the Freshman and JV coach for Franklin HS as well as Asst. Coach for Johnson & Wales University and Asst. Coach at Northeastern University. Colleen was a D-1 Setter for Providence College and has received many accolades during her volleyball career. She still holds numerous records at PC including career service aces, single season assists and single season aces as well as an individual record for most assists in a match for the Big East. 

Shayla Foote, Head Coach

​

Shayla enters her 3rd season at Lockdown VBC.  Shayla led her 14-2 and 17-2 teams to numerous top placements in the 22/23 club season with Lockdown VBC. Shayla is coaching her first year as the JV coach for ORR Girl's Volleyball. Shayla played volleyball from 8th to 12th grade and has had previous coaching experience at Wareham High School assisting the Girls' JV and Varsity Team as well as Maxx Performance Volleyball Club. 

Sydney Lyon, Head Coach

​

Sydney enters her 2nd season at Lockdown VBC.  Pre-College, Sydney played volleyball at Northeast Volleyball Club on open teams as well as played for Weston HS. She is currently playing at the collegiate level as an outside hitter for Wheaton College. In her senior year of HS, Sydney earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State honors as well as MVP of conference and state Class M. She was also awarded PrepVolleyball HS honorable mention for All-American.

Kailee Rodrigues, Head Coach

​

Kailee enters her 2nd season at Lockdown VBC.  Kailee played volleyball for Old Rochester Reginal High School for 4 years and was a 3 year varsity starter. In the off seasons, she played for elite volleyball clubs.

Julie Letourneau, Head Coach

​

Julie enters her 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Julie is a 2x All State volleyball selection and 3x All State basketball selection while at Ponagansett High School. While at Stonehill College, she was a 2x All American basketball selection and played professional basketball in Luxembourg. Julie is a member of the Ponagansett High School Athletics Hall of Fame as well as Stonehill College Hall of Fame. Previous to Lockdown Julie was the Head Coach Girls Basketball at Bishop Stang High School. In previous years been the Assistant Coach Girls Basketball at Ponagansett High School and Head Coach of Girls Volleyball at Ponagansett High School. Julie has coached at numerous camps and clinics throughout her coaching career. 

Ariana Harris, Coach

​

Ariana enters her 4th season in the program. Last season she coached the 16-2 Team and had many top tournament finishes. . Ari just finished her 2nd year as JV Coach for Mansfield High Girls Volleyball and prior to the was the JV Coach at Brockton High. Coach Harris is a former Middle hitter at Brockton High School and also played club ball at Max Performance. 

Wendy Pires, Head Coach

Wendy enters her 4th season at Lockdown VBC. Last season she assisted with 16-1 National Team. This season she will be the head coach for 13-3 as well as assistant coach of 17-1. Wendy has grown under the tutelage of Coach Craig for the past 4 years. Wendy played in HS and played pick-up leagues post HS.  

Ian McKinnon, Head Coach

​

Ian enters his 3rd season at Lockdown VBC. Ian was the assisted coach for 15-2 and 16-3 teams last season. Ian graduated in 2019 from Greater New Bedford Voc Tech where he played on the boys' volleyball team and finished his high sch0ol career 2nd Best Middle in Massachusetts. Due to his incredible high-school career, Ian was selected for 2nd Team All-State, South District All-Star, South Alliance League All-Star and Greater New Bedford Standard Times Super Team.  Ian then attended Johnson & Wales University and played on their Men's Volleyball Team. Ian is coaching his second year as Freshman Coach for ORR Girls' Volleyball.

Sarah Ryan, Head Coach

Sarah enters her 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Sarah played throughout high school as a right-side pin and DS. After college she began coaching at Somerset Berkeley high school, her alma mater, and has been there for 8 years. In 2016 she started the freshmen program as a volunteer and grew that program for 4 years. Sarah is entering her 4th year as the JV Coach and Varsity Assistant.

Danielle St. Pierre, Head Coach

​

Danielle enters their 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Danielle just completed their second year as the freshman coach at Norton High School. Danielle played volleyball in high school and continued on to play in their college volleyball league as a right-side hitter. Danielle has experience coaching players ranging from 4th to 12th grade in clinics and club volleyball. 

Adam Oehmen, Head Coach

Adam is entering his 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Adam played volleyball for Somerset Berkeley HS as well as played for Blast Volleyball Club. Post High School, he played for Colleges of Fenway in Boston, MA. Adam is currently the assistant coach for Somerset Berkeley High School. 

Hollis Hanson, Head Coach

​

Hollis enters her 2nd season at Lockdown VBC. Last year she assisted with 17-2 and 14-2 teams. Currently Hollis plays collegiate level as a MH for Wheaton College. Pre-college, she played for Elevation Volleyball Club on top level teams and varsity for her HS Volleyball Team. in which she earned 2nd Team All Conference. In addition to playing the sport, Hollis also coached league teams at Elevation VC and assisted with clinics run through her HS. 

Camron J. Botelho, Coach

Camron enters his 2nd season at Lockdown VBC. Camron is a volleyball coach for Fall River Recreational Center. He played varsity libero in high school and right-side hitter for Supreme VBC of New Bedford. Camron played college level volleyball at CCRI. He has coaching experience with students 11-17 years old. 

Abbey Barber, Coach

​

Abbey enters her 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Abbey is the current JV Boys and Girls coach at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional and has been since 2021. She was also previously the Freshman Coach from 2016-2018 at Old Rochester Regional.

Julia Wingler, Coach

​

Julia enters her 2nd season at Lockdown VBC. Julia plays collegiate volleyball as a Middle Hitter at Wheaton College. Pre-College, Julia played 4 years on National level teams at Revolution VBC (1 year) and Carolina Edge VBC (3 years). She was a 3-year varsity player for her High school. 

Courtney Nappa, Coach

​

​Courtney enters her 1st season at Lockdown VBC.  Courtney has coached for Franklin Volleyball Club the past 2 years and assists with LVBC clinics during the off season. Courtney was a DII scholarship athlete at Bentley University. She holds an NCAA record for number of aces in a single game (15). Prior to college she was a 5 year varsity starter for Holliston High School. Captain, MVP, Boston Globe all scholastic, Boston Herald All scholastic, Tri-Valley league all star, MetroWest Daily News All Star. Courtney also competed 6 years of elite club teams competing nationally. Courtney has spent the last 20 years developing and operating companies which includes 4 health clubs. Courtney also proudly holds the title of Mrs. Massachusetts 2011.

Arthur Felicio, Coach

Arthur enters his 1st season at Lockdown VBC. Arthur is a member of Dean College Men's Volleyball program. He is currently the Medfield High School Girls JV volleyball coach. He is also the head coach of the Baystate games and has coached numerous clinics and camps.  

Charlotte Larocque-Thompson, Coach

​

Charlotte enters her 1st season at Lockdown VBC. For the last 2 years Charlotte has coached at Mass Premier, assisting with camps. clinics and private lessons for players. She played volleyball for Norton High School and club for Lockdown VBC.   

Ari Tanksley, Coach

​

Ari is a current student athlete on Wheaton College Volleyball Team. Ari is assistant coach for 13 Elite Team and has previous experience assisting with 14 team at Southeastern Regional Club in Virginia. Ari was a four year high school  varsity player in VA, where her team won the State Championship in 2021. 

Liz Pedro, Coach

​

Liz began her volleyball career at Brockton High School and moved on to play as a starting setter for Framingham State University. During college, Liz played competitively in Yankee Volleyball and continued to do so for 10 years, as well as begun competing in beach volleyball. Post college, Liz played two seasons as a DS/Setter in the Professional Volleyball League for team New England. In addition to her indoor-career, Liz took to the beach to compete in women's open Volley America. As a sponsored athlete she competed in tournaments around the country.  

Not only is Liz bringing 24 years of play knowledge to our club, but she also has 19 years of coaching experience. Liz has vacillated skills and drills and élite programs at Mass Premier in Foxboro, MA and has coached for various Junior clubs in MA & Illinois. Liz has worked at UNH camp, Cape Cod Volleyball camps, MPC camps, and Joust summer camps. She was also previously the assistant coach for Stonehill Women's Volleyball. Currently in addition to being a teacher, Liz owns "All Angles Volleyball Training in Taunton, MA, where she hosts beach volleyball teams and offers clinics and private lessons.
